During our open season, this person will work Tuesdays through Saturdays. The schedule may vary with the operational needs of the Museum. Staff special events such as the evening summer concert series.Supports development and logistics of public programs at the JBHM, including lectures, festival days, crafts, etc.Assists in the creation of museum interpretation. ![]() Provides tours of the museum to adults and school groups.Oversees cash drawer management, processing numbers, invoicing customers, and other basic office-related duties.Acts as main point of contact for Museum phone calls and email inquiries.Coordinates the scheduling of school tours.Assists JBHM Manager with docent recruitment and training.Assists with Museum-related events as required.Reports and notes maintenance issues and security concerns.Collects and maintains records for visitor data and tracking reports.Provides excellent customer service to diverse population of visitors.Ensures proper volunteer coverage during open hours, for private tours, and for educational groups.Conducts day-to-day operations of the JBHM acts as main desk clerk during JBHM open hours.Key Terms: page numbers, table of contents, index markers and index, break characters, special characters, glyphs, etc.The John Brown House Museum Assistant is stationed at the Visitor Services Area of the John Brown House Museum – an 18th-century mansion on Providence’s College Hill that features historical tours, exhibitions, and educational programs – and works to maintain a high-quality visitor experience.ĭuties include, but are not limited to the following: Use tools to add special characters or content.
